Two years after my first Jovanotti's concert in Rome nothing's changed: Jova's still an untouchable king of my music world, one of the few bright spots in this busy and cruel life full of lies and dishonest people trapped in their cheap worlds, an alpha and omega of positive energy that gives me the will to live and support my view that love is the only thing worth. Jovanotti is a king in Italy too and that shows his first concert of the summer tour at Italian stadiums gathered 25.000 people in Ancona. Full two and a half hours of singing and dancing and running and jumping on the big stage with the support of the audience really is quite a spectacle. And all this is complemented by extraordinary original movies that have been shown on three large screens behind the stage, at times simply drove to tears. This time was less slow songs than in Rome two years ago but anyway, the show was playful and emotional. Logical was the very end of the concert with Penso positivo because that's the main message of his songs – think positive and the world will be a better place.

BACIAMI ANCONA

The only way to get to Ancona, Italy from Dubrovnik and to be at Jovanotti's concert is to catch a bus to Split than the ferry from Split to Ancona than the train from Ancona to Bari and finally the ferry to Dubrovnik.
On Thursday at 1:00pm we took the bus to Split and we got there at 5:30pm. Jadrolinija ferry left the port at 9:00pm.

The night was bright and calm, the water was still, dinner was very good and very cheap. We didn't take a cabin but two reclining seats, so we spent the night in the semi-lying position.

Friday started with nice and sunny weather so it was a complete pleasure walking around the old city of Ancona all to the Cathedral on the top of the hill and strolling through the narrow streets surrounded by big houses. We stayed in the NH Ancona Hotel 4*, which is also situated on the hill above Ancona's port and from which you have a nice view of the one part of the city. All 4 stars are deserved and the breakfast is extraordinary!
On Friday evening we went to the Stadio del Conero to see Jova's concert. The stadium is 9 km from the center of Ancona and the concert was fantastic again. The opening was with Il Cile and Tre allegri ragazzi morti band. Jovanotti started at 9:05pm and finished at 11:35pm in front of 25.000 people. I just adore him! More about the concert in my next post...

Whole Saturday we spent strolling the city, drinking Spritz and having brilliant cappuccinos and of course fast shopping.

Sunday morning at 10:25 our train to Bari left the city and we came there at 3:00pm. As almost everything was closed in the city except a few bars and restaurants, we spent the rest of the day walking through the old part of the town. The ferry left Italy at 10:00pm and we came home on Monday early morning.
